About Faculty of Health & Social Sciences, MPhil - at Bournemouth University (BU)

You can study a Master of Philosophy in a variety of areas such as healthcare, midwifery, nursing, leadership or dementia. Other areas of study include nutrition, exercise, the social sciences, humanisation, mental health and social work.

A Master of Philosophy (MPhil) can be a precursor to a PhD, giving you two years to delve into a subject that you are passionate about. Our staff within the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences have varied interests and specialisms, providing you with an opportunity to work with an expert in a field of research interest.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree at 2:1 or higher and a relevant Master's degree. If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS 6.5 (Academic) or above.
