The Software Development programme is a Bachelor's top-up programme based on the Computer Science programme. It is ideal for you if you would like to take part in the design and construction of large, data-heavy, distributed IT systems. The focus of the Bachelor's top-up programme in Software Development is to build large, distributed, data-heavy IT systems - subjects that were the focus of the Computer Science programme's 3rd semester.
The programme will give you competencies that will enable you to participate in the development of technical design and the realisation of systems in a distributed environment. It also focuses on the application of widespread methods and technologies. As a Bachelor of Software Development you will be able to undertake the functions of a systems developer/architect in connection with the development of large distributed systems.
There is no tuition fee for Danish students, Nordic students, and students from the EU/EEA countries. Students with a permanent residence permit in Denmark or with a temporary residence permit with the possibility of obtaining a permanent residence permit in Denmark also do not pay a tuition fee.
You are guaranteed admission to one of our 1 1/2-year Bachelor top-up programmes, if you have an average of minimum 5 (from summer 2017 this will be increased to 6) in your qualifying AP degree. You can apply for admission regardless of your qualifying exam average. We will consider all received applications. If you are applying without a qualifying Danish AP degree or if the average of your qualifying AP degree is less than 5.0 we will evaluate your actual competences and motivation. Please note that the focus for this programme is the same subject area as the Computer Science programme.
