Deepen your expertise in modular synthesis with this advanced course, designed for experienced electronic music producers and sound designers. Expand your creative horizons, master complex modular systems and push the boundaries of sound design through hands-on experimentation and iteration.

Even with a solid foundation in synthesis, you may find yourself searching for that next breakthrough in your sound. This course is designed to help you refine your approach, unlock modular workflows and discover advanced techniques that can elevate your sound to new heights.

Guided by modular experts and producers, you’ll explore both the technical and creative aspects of modular synthesis. We encourage students to bring their own modular systems, as campus units are limited. Working with your own setup, you’ll learn to build complex patches and think modularly, integrating generative techniques, advanced modulation, and custom signal flows into your work. From advanced signal routing to integrating modular setups with DAWs and other hardware, you’ll gain the knowledge to take your skills to the next level.

Through masterclasses with diverse tutors, you’ll experience a range of philosophies and unique approaches to modular synthesis, showcasing how it can be used not just as a tool but as a creative problem-solving instrument. You’ll explore how different artistic perspectives can shape your engagement with modular systems—whether it's through minimalist setups, generative composition, or experimental soundscapes.
