About International Business and Entrepreneurship, MSc - at De Montfort University

International Business and Entrepreneurship programme at DMU offers in-depth knowledge of major functions and key topics within business and entrepreneurship. The programme equips students with academically relevant knowledge and practical skills that are necessary to succeed in the uncertain, increasingly globalised world of international business and enhance employability.

Throughout this course, you will learn how to critically examine international businesses, analyse why and how firms go international, as well as create successful international expansion plans for a variety of organisations. You will also get the opportunity to consider the social responsibility of managers and alternative perspectives on management. These include the critical application of classical and contemporary theory to the advancement of management practice and how organizations can manage people internationally.

Key features

  • You’ll have the opportunity to gain international and volunteering experience, which could add an extra dimension to your studies and enhance your employability, through our DMU Local and DMU Global programmes.
  • Take advantage of access to the Innovation Centre and its free informative events, business surgeries and networking sessions for all entrepreneurial students interested in innovation or wanting to start their own business.
  • The diverse nature of the staff and student cohort means you will experience and benefit from a truly international learning environment allowing you to identify new opportunities in a range of contexts.
  • Benefit from Education 2030, where a simplified ‘block learning’ timetable means you will study one subject at a time and have more time to engage with your learning, receive faster feedback and enjoy a better study-life balance.
