Our Civil Engineering undergraduate course covers the main disciplines of structures, geotechnics, plus both water and transportation engineering. The degree is designed to give you the knowledge and skills you need to become a Chartered Civil Engineer. The core curriculum concentrates on analysis and materials behaviour, covering the main disciplines. The later years of the course specialise more on design and management. Throughout, there's an emphasis on your personal development within a professional environment.
All Civil Engineering undergraduate courses are supported by the Civil Engineering Industry Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from major multi-national employers.

Accreditation
The Civil Engineering course is accredited on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer, by the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
