Are you interested in health issues and the treatment and prevention of disease? Have you considered a career as a pharmacist?
This course is an ideal first step towards a pharmaceutical career. It examines the science behind the preparation, supply and monitoring of medicines. You’ll study law, ethics and clinical practice, the role of hospital, community, GP practice, care home and industrial pharmacists.
Working alongside other future healthcare professionals, you’ll talk to patients about their conditions and treatment. In year 4, you’ll complete a research-based project, for which you’ll receive specialist tuition.

You’ll graduate ready for the next steps towards becoming a pharmacist in the UK. These are a year’s foundation training in an approved pharmaceutical establishment and passing the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) registration exam.
