This course offers both craft and conservation skills. It’s ideal if you’re seeking to specialise in your career, working in the historic built environment.
The first two years form a foundation degree (FdSc). A further year’s study will allow you to ‘top-up’ to a BSc (Hons) degree.
Both the FdSc and BSc (Hons) top-up include optional study visits, making presentations, working in teams, debating current topics and research projects.

You’ll graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to work in historic building conservation for a specialist contractor, a local authority or consultancy, or a major national heritage organisation. Graduates have gone on to work at prestigious venues such as the British Museum in London and Elizabeth Tower, also known as Big Ben.
