This is an American degree, four years in length.
Art History seeks to understand the meaning and function of works of visual art as an expression of human imagination, experience and creativity in particular historical contexts.
As well as studying the lives of artists and their interaction with their contemporary society, you will take courses in studio art and design to link theory to your own experience.
Your studies will be enriched by visits to art galleries and museums, large and small, and to places of artistic interest in and around London.Â
This is a discipline which encourages the understanding of many cultures, and intermediate proficiency in a foreign language is therefore a requirement.
