This course is intended to be a top-up degree for applicants who have completed a Diploma in Quantity Surveying or HND in Construction and the Built Environment or equivalent. It also gives an opportunity for other cognate HND Diplomas to undertake a top-up degree.
Course ObjectiveThe course aims to provide a specialist educational experience at degree level enabling successful students to enter into careers in construction management. Commercial Management is essential at both project and company management level within construction organisations, in order to effectively control construction activities that involve significant financial investment and risk. The course focuses on three relevant areas of commercial awareness, human resources, and management issues. Students will develop knowledge and skills in these areas and apply them in simulated project contexts.
