About Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons.) - Automotive Maintenance, UG:Bachelor - at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (Uni KL)

The Bachelor Degree in Engineering Technology in Automotive Maintenance at UniKL MFI prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of automotive engineers and other automotive technology professionals engaged in developing, automotive manufacturing and testing self-propelled ground vehicles and their systems. Students majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology at UniKL MFI will be exposed to hands-on laboratory experience in automotive engineering processes, mechanical testing, metallurgy, emission and dynamometer testing.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Upon graduation, the students of BET Automotive Maintenance are expected to have the ability to:

  • PLO 1
    Apply knowledge of mathematics, sciences and engineering fundamental and anengineering specialization to define and applied automotive engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.
  • PLO 2
    Identify, formulate, research literature and solve broadly defined engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of automotive maintenance engineering technology.
  • PLO 3
    Design solutions for broadly defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the designs of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
  • PLO 4
    Conduct investigations of broadly defined problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusion.
  • PLO 5
    Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modeling, to broadly defined engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
  • PLO 6
    Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse technical teams.
  • PLO 7
    Communicate effectively on broadly defined engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.
  • PLO 8
    Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, and safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice.
  • PLO 9
    Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice.

    Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a societal context and demonstrate knowledge of and the need for sustainable development.

    Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of management, business practices, and technopreneurial.

    Recognize the need for, and have the ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning in automotive maintenance engineering technology.

Notes about fees for this course

The fees for this Bachelor amounts 19,500 RM

Entry requirements

A-Level : 

Pass A Level or related in Mathematics and one (1) Science subject related to (MUEST is not needed) 

OR

Pass diploma engineering/ technology engineering (Level 4, Kerangka Qualifiations Malaysia (KKM) certified OR its equivalent with CGPA 2.00 minimum from PPT which certified by OR any related certified by Malaysia Government.

OR

Pass International Baccalaureate with at least 24/45 include Mathematics and other Science subjects (MUET not required).
