The Master of Arts in the field of Literary and Cultural Studies (MA) introduces students to a wide range of important cultural texts as well as social and political issues related to modernity, colonialism, Asia, capitalism, and globalisation. The programme will be offered in a full-time (one year) or part-time (two years) modes. As a "cultural studies" programme, it adopts an interdisciplinary, contextual, and broadly historical approach to questions of culture and to the analysis of tests. Critical and cultural theories are important touchstones for all classes, and help us frame and define the texts and problems that we go on to write about. At the end of their studies, students are expected to complete a capstone experience which contributes to the body of knowledge in society.
