About Human Resource Management, MSc - at University of Liverpool

The University of Liverpool Management School is one of an elite group of institutions worldwide to be AACSB-Accredited.‌

This programme will give you comprehensive, high level education in human resources management so that you can develop a rewarding HR career.

You'll gain:-

  • a knowledge of HR principles and current issues as they relate to businesses
  • the skills needed to work in HR management
  • the ability to evaluate critically HRM issues both locally and globally
  • analytical techniques needed for the effective tactical and strategic management of  organisations
  • IT skills, including use of a range of financial and statistical software
  • effective written and spoken communication skills

This 12-month programme consists of eight taught compulsory modules followed by a research project carried out over the summer period upon completion of Semester Two.

Entry requirements

Normally a university degree in social sciences, arts, humanities and other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 2.1 standard from a UK university, or an equivalent academic qualification from a professional experience and/or other prior qualifications may also be considered. All candidates must meet our required level of English. International qualifications Applications from international students are welcomed. International qualifications will be evaluated in line with the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) guidelines. English language qualifications All applicants must have reached a minimum required standard of English language, and are required to provide evidence of this. Qualifications accepted by the University include GCSE English; GCE O level English; AS Level English; A Level English Language; IELTS; TOEFL; Cambridge Proficiency etc. Please see www.liv.ac.uk/international/countries/index.htm for a full list. If you meet our other academic requirements but do not achieve the required level of English, it is possible to come and study at Liverpool on the University’s summer academic English programmes. The English Lanaguage Centre provides tuition and can arrange IELTS tests.
