The degree is suitable for those seeking positions in the finance and investment industry. The programme is based around the three main markets of investment activities - equity markets, fixed income markets, and derivative markets. The course contents are led by cutting-edge academic research and practice-based case studies that focus on both domestic and international financial markets. Participants in the MSc Finance and Investment programme can also use the dissertation component to concentrate in-depth on a finance and investment topic according to individual interests and career requirements.

Entry requirements

Although the entry requirements vary depending on the course, as a general rule, you are expected to hold an honours degree at 2:1 level or above (or international equivalent). The programme open to all disciplines except for Business or Management related disciplines. In addition to academic qualifications, if your first language is not English or entry qualification was not obtained in the English medium (from an approved institution), you are required to provide evidence of your proficiency in English. The minimum requirements for our courses are: - IELTS 6.5 no less than 6.0 in any element; - PTE Academic 71 (minimum 65); - or other equivalent English proficiency test scores.
