About Molecular Pharmacology and Durg Discovery, PhD - at University of Nottingham

The Nottingham School of Life Sciences and the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) have developed a four-year doctoral training programme for Molecular Pharmacology and Drug Discovery Biology. The programme brings together the leading international research team in GPCR biology/allosterism (at MIPS) with the leading international GPCR cell signalling team (at Nottingham). The programme will offer a combination of courses, workshops and laboratory-based training in all aspects of molecular pharmacology and drug discovery, taking advantage of the unique and complimentary expertise and facilities of both institutions. Graduates of the programme will receive a joint Monash University/Nottingham University PhD Molecular Pharmacology and Drug Discovery Biology, and will be uniquely trained to tackle the challenging problem of developing more effective and selective therapies for diseases that are of global relevance to human suffering.

Entry requirements

For candidates whose first language is not English, the required score is IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in any element), or a score of 87 in the TOEFL iBT (with a minimum of 20 in Speaking and 19 in all other elements). Test results should be no more than 2 years old.Candidates whose first language is not English, but who have been awarded a qualification from a recognised UK educational institution, are exempt from the English language requirement.
