About German and History, BA - at University of Nottingham

The School of Modern Languages and Cultures is comprised of five departments: French and Francophone Studies, German Studies, Hispanic and Latin American Studies, Russian and Slavonic Studies as well as the Department of Critical Theory and Cultural Studies. The school is also home to The Language Centre.

The school offers nine languages and applicants can choose from a range of courses, either specialising in one language or combining two or three. Many students choose one language and a subject such as history, politics, law or economics.

In the recent Research Assessment Exercise, the School of Modern Languages and Cultures achieved the following results: French - 5A, German - 5*A, Hispanic Studies - 5*A, Russian and Slavonic Studies - 5A.
