About Music Composition, Other Doctorate - at University of Nottingham

We offer two research degrees specifically for composers, the AMusM (Master of Musical Arts) and the AMusD (Doctor of Musical Arts). Both are examined by submission of a portfolio of compositions. Composers may also elect to study for the MPhil/PhD degree, in which case original compositions are accompanied by a substantial theoretical text.
