Physical Literacy

Physical literacy is a journey from birth right through life. If you work with very young children or people in later life, you are impacting on their physical literacy. This new module focuses on how we develop physical competence to be able to be active for life and how we motivate people to engage in physical activity.

Through this ground breaking module, you will learn the developmental sequences for fundamental motor skills, how to recognise and analyse the stages and how to improve these crucial skills.

You will also learn about how we assess movement patterns and how to improve these. You will learn what motivates children, young people and adults to engage in physical activity.

This module is developed so that no matter what age group you work with, you will be able to relate the work to the groups you support.
