If you are eager to explore how food and nutrition affects the health of individual and want to find out how diet can be used to improve health and treat disease, our Nutritional Therapeutics Diploma in Higher Education is ideal for you.
We have designed this course to meet the varying needs of individuals and to provide the best possible foundation for you to gain a professional qualification in nutritional therapy.

Through this course we will help you build a sound knowledge base in the theory and practice of Nutritional Therapy, underpinned by the development of basic medical sciences. You will learn about:
  • anatomy and physiology
  • basic biochemistry
  • the study of named diseases (pathology) -  as it relates to the field of practice. 

Career and study progression

Having successfully completed the DipHE you can progress onto the Level 6 BSc / BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy Degree. The BSc (Hons) pathway provides further development of research and evaluation skills which can enhance practitioner expertise and lead to further career choices as well as a qualified Nutritional Therapist status.

Funding

Help with funding is available to a range of students, whether you are studying full or part-time, in your home country or overseas.

You may be eligible for a student loan to cover the cost of tuition fees or a maintenance loan to support you during your studies. We also offer a range of scholarships and bursaries to help you. Current scholarships include:

  • Full Time Undergraduate Bursary: a £3,000 award for new undergraduate students.
  • Path to Success Scholarship: a £4,000 award for students on a four-year degree course with a foundation year.

Please note fees are paid for each year of study unless otherwise stated. You will be required to re-enrol and pay fees at the beginning of each academic year. Fees may be subject to government regulations on fee increases. Future inflationary increases will be applied to each subsequent year of the course, subject to government regulations on fee increases.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

You will need 80 UCAS tariff points, normally including at least two subject areas or equivalent qualifications at Level 3, plus GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics.

If you don't have the above qualifications, but have relevant work experience, we invite you to apply and attend an interview.

International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 7.0 or above, and a minimum of 7.0 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
