As an academic field, governance involves the understanding of the framework of laws, powers and language of a society, which are normally handled by a government, market or network. In an increasingly globalised world, it is important to continue the development of governance policies and activities. As a student of governance, your knowledge and understanding will become integral to the evolution and growth of the systems of the future.
Modules you study might include international law, religion and world politics, global economy, and human rights. Your degree will be delivered in a mixture of modes. These could include lectures and tutorials, as well as group projects. Depending on your course, you may also be presented with the opportunity to take part in a work placement.
