A masters degree in counselling and psychotherapy is an opportunity to take your skills and knowledge to the next level. Usually taking 1-2 years to complete when studied full-time, a counselling and psychotherapy degree combines theory and practice to ensure that you are a well-rounded practitioner who can help a variety of clients or patients. Admission requirements usually include a bachelors degree in a related subject, or relevant professional experience.

Graduates of a counselling and psychotherapy masters degree can either look for a job within a field of interest, or pursue further studies, like a PhD or research degree.
