Petroleum engineering is a discipline that covers the understanding, exploration and uses of oil and gas. Petroleum engineers are responsible for allowing the modern world to run, providing energy and materials for the wide variety of industries across the globe. As the world develops, a petroleum engineer will also need to adapt their knowledge to facilitate the safe, sustainable and efficient development of oil and gas assets.
A postgraduate degree in petroleum engineering will allow you to build on the knowledge and skills gained at undergraduate level. Modules you study may include geomechanics, reservoir engineering, petroleum economics, and petroleum production engineering.
