A masters degree in strength and conditioning will give you the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge you already have around sports performance, ensuring that you have a well-rounded understanding of how to make athletes healthy and strong. A masters degree can also be a good option if you wish to move from one career to another.
Usually taking 1-2 years to complete, a masters degree in strength and conditioning covers a range of subjects. Modules could include performance and injury, sport psychology, youth development, and neuromechanics of human movement, among others.
Admission Requirements
Admission to a strength and conditioning masters degree normally requires a bachelors degree in a related field, or relevant professional experience. Some universities might accept students who have previously studied in a different subject area. There might be other academic requirements, which your university can give you more information about.
You will also need to provide evidence of your language proficiency. If your degree is taught in English and you are not exempt from language requirements, you can do this with IELTS or TOEFL results, which are two of the most widely accepted English language tests.
