Placing accounting within a management and finance context, this degree will develop your understanding of how organisations operate in a business and financial environment and increase your employability and commercial awareness through practical work experience. Accounting and financial management theories and practices provide the basis of the degree and introduce you to accounting practices in areas such as financial accounting, management accounting, information technology applications in accounting, financial management, auditing and taxation. The development of key skills in problem solving, analysis, teamwork and negotiation all support your future career. You will also gain exemptions from the exams of the main accountancy professional bodies on completion of this degree.
