Driven by creativity and employability the Major focuses on literary and professional writing and will equip students with the ability to produce engaging, innovative and saleable texts as well as a wide range of transferable skills. Whether they aspire to be novelists, screenwriters, journalists, biographers, radio dramatists, poets, bloggers, PR copywriters or a combination of these, this Major will offer undergraduates the chance to experience the joys of crafting the written and spoken word. The aim is that they will leave this Major as empowered writers with an enhanced command of their craft, increased confidence in their creativity, an understanding of the values which inform their writing practice and the technical skillset to deliver their work to their audience. Students will study under celebrated writers and academics and gather a range of workplace skills to prepare for fulfilling careers.

2016 Undergraduate Entry Requirements:
300 UCAS points at A-Level (e.g. grades BBB)
OR IB Diploma at 26 points minimum
60% in a recognised Foundation Programme
Undergraduate English Language Requirements:
IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in reading and writing, and no individual score lower than 5.5
OR Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English pass at ISEIII or above.
Postgraduate Entry Requirements:
A good honours degree from a recognised institution
