Naval architects focus on all aspects in the design and operation of ships and other large floating structures. 

This degree focuses on the engineering behind the design, structure, operation and management of ships and other marine vehicles.

After learning the fundamentals of marine technology in your first two years, you'll move on to specialist modules such as:

  • ship design
  • marine structures
  • ship hydrodynamics

You benefit from hands-on experience with our experimental facilities, including a model-testing tank, extensive computing facilities and the largest commercial propeller test tunnel in the country.
