About Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law Online, LLM - at Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London

This LLM gives you the opportunity to analyse how technology, media and telecommunications law has affected the application of traditional legal principles. Examine the complex issues, precedence and developments of law and policy and learn how to apply this knowledge to directly impact your career progression.

The programme draws on our established teaching and research expertise in IT law, e-commerce law, telecommunications law, computer law and media law. You will examine the complex issues concerning national and international law, while exploring current and developing policies. You'll learn to identify gaps, conflicts and compliance issues and develop expertise in the legal regimes governing the supply and use of technology, media and telecommunications.

You have the option to attend the annual Residential Weekend for Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law Сư³æ´«Ã½ students, giving you the chance to network with staff, alumni and fellow students.

The flexible nature of this programme allows you the full benefits of studying for a recognised UK university qualification whilst still in full-time employment. You will be taught to apply your learning and expertise to your professional work straight away, helping you to further your career.

Non law gradautes can take a Pre-Sessional Module on Legal Systems, Research Skills and Writing for IT Law.

Structure

You will need to complete 180 credits in total:

There are two part-time options:

Variable 3-6 years part-time:

  • Ten taught modules
  • One 30 credits (10,000-word) dissertation OR
  • Eight taught modules
  • One 60 credits (15,000-word)

Fixed 2 years part-time:

  • Ten taught modules
  • 10,000 word dissertation

A 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in Law or a degree with substantial law content.
