  • What are global health challenges and how can they be addressed?What do recent changes in war and security mean for how we relate to people across countries and cultures?
  • What are the limits of development policies and is it time to move towards post-development policies? What would those policies look like?
  • Are the practices of Great Powers changing, and what are their implications for world politics?

The course is offered completely online, with assessments being conducted through coursework and a final dissertation.

To graduate, you’ll need to successfully complete 4 modules and a 12,000-word dissertation.

Entry requirements

To apply for this course, you should have:

  •  A minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in politics or a related discipline.*
  • IELTS 7.0 (including 6.5 in the writing component) if your first language isn’t English.

*We may consider graduates with a minimum of an upper second class-honours degree in another subject with either additional relevant qualifications or work experience.
