Studying Spanish and Portuguese offers a wealth of opportunities and possibilities. As well as aiming to provide communication skills in two major global languages, this course gives students cultural and intercultural knowledge, not only about Spain and Portugal, but the 20 Latin American countries where these languages are spoken.
You will have the opportunity to spend up to 18 months in up to three different countries, studying or in a work placement such as an English language assistantship The time will be divided between the two languages you will be studying. The year abroad benefits from an 85% reduction in the normal tuition fee.
Our full-time undergraduate tuition fees for UK and EU students entering University in 2018/19 are £9250 a year, or £1540 per 20-credit module for part-time study.
Students from countries outside the UK are expected to have entry qualifications roughly equivalent to UK A Level for undergraduate study and British Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) for postgraduate study.
