About Accounting and Finance , MRes - at University of Exeter Business School

This programme is suited to anyone wishing to deepen their knowledge of accounting and finance, and who wants to enter a career in financial markets, either as analysts, or as professional accountants. It is also suited to anyone wanting to go onto further research in accounting and finance to PhD level.

The MSc Accounting and Finance is designed to deliver financial expertise with an emphasis on understanding the accounting process. You will gain insight into the accounting process both within the firm (managment accounting) and into external reporting and its relevance to company valuation (financial accounting).

The programme will develop your ability to use a variety of models and methods to solve practical accounting and financial problems. You will also develop your ablity to use existing research in accounting and finance and apply it in practical situations, along with the capacity to critically appraise the assumptions underlying financial models.
