Biological sciences is an academic discipline that broadly covers any subject that studies living organisms and the science of ‘life’. This can include, but is not limited to, biology, zoology, genetics, plant science, and microbiology. As a student of biological sciences, you may look at things such as the interactions between animals, and how genes are expressed, among other things.
Graduates of a masters degree in biological sciences have a wide range of career options available to them. These include biochemist, laboratory technician, natural scientist, biological sciences teacher, and conservation biologist, as well as many other paths.
Your degree will be delivered through lectures and seminars, as well as practical laboratory sessions. Modules you study might include:
