About Engineering Management, MSc - at University of Greenwich

Evolution in the global employment markets for postgraduate engineers has led to a significant increase in the demand for MSc degrees in engineering with a solid management focus. This programme is a substitute for the traditional route of general management degree or MBA degree that historically helped build a successful senior management career in technology-based business.

The programme is primarily aimed at science and technology graduates who wish to extend and develop their skills to encompass a wider set of disciplines, as well as graduates who want to develop their careers towards managerial roles in engineering or manufacturing or in the commercial enterprise in which they have chosen to work.

The programme is also aimed at experienced industry practitioners who wish to complement their academic knowledge and obtain professional recognition in key management areas of private industry or the public sector internationally.

The aims of the programme are:

  • To provide postgraduate engineers with the current tools, knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in local and global engineering management
  • To support the progression of engineers of all disciplines to management roles in both private and public sectors
  • To promote the importance of entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and the core values of ethical enterprise in modern economies.
